Data Sheet - Acoustical Functions
Acoustical Functions - absorbing, dampening
of sound from electronic equipment
Applications include:
- Office Equipment –sound absorption, as a sound transmission
sound barrier
- Audio Equipment – application includes sound absorptions and
sound transmission for stereo speaker grilles, earphones, microphone
windscreen covers, etc.
Acoustic foam will absorb the activity of airborne or fluid borne
noise, causing a loss in energy by weakening reflected vibrations.
The sound vibration pulses are “tired out” by their efforts to force
the foam strands to vibrate and the noise, reflected level is, therefore,
immediately reduced.
Properties:
- Felting capability to fine-tune products to meet absorption
at different frequencies.
- Flame retardant
- Custom Lamination for aesthetics
- Controlled cell structure
- Fabrication of multiple layers for sound attenuation optimization.
