- Foamex International
Inc. (Nasdaq: FMXI), the leading manufacturer of flexible polyurethane and
advanced polymer foam products, announced its Diamond Award winners for
2001. The awards were presented at a dinner hosted by John Televantos,
President and Chief Executive Officer of Foamex.
This is the third
year for the Awards, which were initiated in 1999 to recognize employees who
exemplify a commitment to excellence, creativity, a strong work ethic and
teamwork. This year, seven Diamond Award winners were recognized among
nearly 6,000 Foamex employees in North America:

Diamond Award winners
and their guests were honored at a full day of events held in Philadelphia
in their honor. Following a breakfast meeting with Televantos, winners and
their guests enjoyed a trolley tour of Philadelphia’s historic and cultural
sites. The highlight of the day was the awards dinner, which was attended by
senior executives of the company as well as members of the board of
directors. The awardees received an engraved Tiffany crystal diamond to
commemorate the event.
Televantos emphasized
Foamex’s commitment to recruit, develop, retain and reward outstanding
employees. "With talented, dedicated employees like those we recognized
today, I am confident that Foamex will continue to enhance its position as
the world’s leading manufacturer of polyurethane foam," he said. "We are
