Foamex International Inc. (Nasdaq: FMXI), the leading manufacturer
of flexible polyurethane and advanced polymer foam products, was
recognized as a "Quest for Excellence" supplier by Automotive
Industries magazine. The award was presented at a dinner held on
Wednesday, August 17 at the Detroit Institute of Arts.
The "Quest for Excellence" award recognizes automotive suppliers
in 23 categories for performance in quality, price, innovation,
delivery and service. Foamex was a winner in the Interiors
category. "These companies represent North America’s top automotive
suppliers," the magazine noted. "They are truly the ‘Best of the
Best’."
The survey was conducted by PriceWaterhouseCoopers, which polled
nearly 1300 Automotive Industries readers. Both original
equipment manufacturers and automotive suppliers were eligible to
vote.
Arthur H. Vartanian, Executive Vice President of Foamex
